Graded Asset Assurance is an independent audit and assurance practice focused on grading companies, not individual items. We partner with grading services to review how they define their standards, train graders, run quality control, and apply their criteria in practice across all types of graded assets and collectibles. Our goal is to bring transparency, consistency, and confidence to grading so people can trust both the grades in the market and that, when they submit their collectibles, they’ll be evaluated fairly and reliably by the grading companies they choose — helping to build lasting trust in the grading services industry as a whole.

We never grade collectibles or take sides in disputes. Our only loyalty is to clear evidence and honest reporting, so confidence in the grading services industry is earned, not assumed.

We believe grading companies should be able to show, not just say, that their standards are being followed. We measure how criteria are applied in practice and highlight both strengths and drift, turning grading performance into something visible and verifiable across the industry.

We want the grading services industry to be something collectors, investors, and institutions can rely on with confidence. Our work helps ensure that trust is grounded in fair, consistent, and independently verified grading—not just reputation or hype.
Trust us to bring transparency to your grading experience.
I’m Wesley Raider, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with a background in audit, risk, and controls across corporate and financial environments.
I started Graded Asset Assurance to bring that same audit-level rigor to the grading services industry. Instead of grading collectibles myself, I focus on how grading companies design their standards, train graders, run quality control, and apply those standards in practice.
My goal is simple: help create a more transparent, consistent, and trusted grading ecosystem so collectors, investors, and institutions can rely on both the grades they see and the companies behind them.
No.
Graded Asset Assurance does not grade cards, coins, stamps, or any other collectibles. We don’t crack slabs, assign grades, or offer second-opinion grades. Our work is focused on auditing grading companies themselves, including their standards, processes, and real-world consistency.
We perform independent audit and assurance work over grading services. That includes reviewing how they:
We then report on how consistent and reliable those grading operations appear to be, based on evidence and sample-based testing.
Our services are designed for:
In the future, our work can also support standards bodies or industry groups focused on grading transparency.
No. Graded Asset Assurance is independent. We don’t own or operate a grading service, and we don’t accept fees for changing or “softening” our conclusions. When we work with grading companies, it’s to assess and improve their controls and consistency, not to promote them.
Most “review” services look at individual items and give an opinion like “this might cross to a higher grade.”
We don’t do that. We focus on the system behind the grades:
It’s much closer to an internal audit / SOC-style assessment than a card-by-card review.
Not at this time. We don’t take on work to help individual collectors challenge or re-grade specific items. Our engagements are with grading companies and institutions (funds, marketplaces, insurers, large dealers) who need a broader view of grading risk and reliability.
